Service Description

As part of the EduCATaLIS™ BRIDGEd™ Framework, BRIDGEd™ Foundations provides families with personalized, easy-to-understand guidance as they begin navigating the IEP and special education process. Designed for families seeking introductory support, this service helps parents and guardians better understand educational procedures, prepare for important conversations, and feel more confident advocating for their child’s needs. EduCATaLIS™ helps simplify complex educational information by translating special education terminology, services, and processes into clear, parent-friendly language. Whether families are new to special education or simply looking for occasional guidance and reassurance, BRIDGEd™ Foundations offers practical support that helps make the process feel more manageable and less overwhelming. BRIDGEd™ Foundations Includes: • 30-Minute IEP Consultation: A personalized consultation designed to help families better understand their child’s educational plan, including goals, accommodations, services, supports, and instructional considerations. When applicable, evaluation results may also be reviewed to help families better understand student strengths, needs, and support recommendations. • “Know Your Rights” Mini-Guide (PDF): A simple, parent-friendly resource that explains important special education rights, procedures, and educational terminology in clear and understandable language. • Follow-Up Support: Families may receive one follow-up phone call or email within three business days following an IEP or evaluation meeting (excluding weekends) to clarify questions, discuss concerns, or review next steps. BRIDGEd™ Foundations helps families feel informed, supported, and more confident as they participate in their child's educational planning and advocacy. BRIDGEd™ Foundations is intended for families seeking introductory support and guidance. Services are limited to those included within this package. Additional advocacy and support services may be available for an additional fee and can be discussed during the consultation process.
