SMART IEP Planning and Practice™
Building confident educators through practical, student-centered IEP development.
Service Description
SMART IEP Planning and Practice™ is a hands-on professional learning series from EduCATaLIS™ designed to help educators create IEPs that are both legally compliant and meaningful in real classroom settings. We believe IEPs should be more than paperwork - they should serve as practical tools that guide instruction, support student growth, and strengthen inclusive learning experiences for all students. Through reflective learning, coaching, and practical classroom application, educators gain meaningful strategies for developing student-centered IEPs that connect compliance requirements to effective instructional practice. Participants learn how to analyze student data, develop meaningful goals, strengthen accommodations and supports, and use progress-monitoring practices that guide day-to-day instruction. This series helps educators strengthen: • SMART goal development and instructional alignment • Data-informed instructional planning and progress monitoring • Inclusive instructional practices and accommodations • Collaboration between educators, families, and support teams • Student-centered planning that supports meaningful growth and participation At the heart of this series is the belief that educators grow through reflection, collaboration, and practical support that can be immediately applied in real classrooms. By the end of the series, educators will feel more confident developing IEPs that support meaningful student outcomes while strengthening instructional practice and collaboration. Every EduCATaLIS™ program is flexible and designed to meet the unique needs of educators, schools, and instructional teams.
